Fiber Art & Textiles

Wool Painting – I start by layering several fine pieces of wool and gently needle felt them together during the process. Images start to come to life as I do this. I use a barbed needle made for felting the fibers which locks the fibers together and keeps them in place. Finished art is soft to touch, the final piece is sewn to a dowel rod with embroidery floss and yarn and ready to hang.

Felted Soap – The finished art is gently wrapped around a soap bar and agitated by hand with water for several minutes to create an enclosed “fabric” that adheres to the soap. Click Here to learn more!
